2025 January: Angel Island Backpacking
Urban and outdoors backpacking combined: ride the train and ferry to camp at Angel Island.
Day 1
- Meet at Caltrain station 7am (NOT CHURCH)
- Take the 7:42am train
- Arrive at San Francisco Caltrain Station (Address: 700 4th St, San Francisco, CA 94107)
- Head to Ferry Building (Address: 1 Ferry Building, San Francisco, CA 94105)
- Walk to Ferry Building (~30 min/1.6 miles)
- Buy round trip tickets to and from Angel Island
- Take the 10:15 AM Ferry to Angel Island
- Lunch (on island)
- Visit museum before close at 2:30
- Hike to Garrison Group Campsite( ~1 mile/ ~30min)
- Setup tent
- Dinner
- Campfire Activities/Night Games - Led by Kaden and potentially others
Day 2
- Wake up 7am
- Early breakfast/cleanup
- Take the 10:55 AM Ferry to SF Ferry Building
- Walk back to Caltrain
